How do I choose the right power adapter?

Match three things from your device's label or old adapter: the voltage (must match exactly — e.g. 12V), the amperage (the adapter's amps must be equal to or higher than the device needs), and the plug polarity and size (most devices are centre positive, 5.5×2.1mm or 5.5×2.5mm). Can I use a higher-amp adapter on my device?

Yes — a device only draws the current it needs, so a 12V 2A device runs safely on a 12V 5A adapter. Never use a higher voltage though.

Are these AC adapters suitable for NZ power outlets?

Yes, all our adapters ship with NZ/AU plugs and are rated for New Zealand's 230V mains supply.
